Officials of SUBICWATER and the Subic Bay Water Regulatory Board (SBWRB) have finally agreed to declare Drought Condition-1 over Olongapo City and Subic Bay Freeport,
Early this morning, SUBICWATER recorded an alarming drop in stream flows, forcing the company to limit supply to portions of Kalaklan and Barretto.
The accompanying drop in pressure has also resulted to a slight water discoloration in both Subic Bay Freeport and Olongapo. This is an inevitable consequence of SUBICWATER’s constant adjustments in the water distribution system in order to cope up with the critical raw water supply.
Official announcement of the drought condition is expected to be released this afternoon. Please stand by for updates.
