RESEARCH WORK: Amid reports of the Sta. Rita River turning black (downstream and far from our pumping station), SUBICWATER personnel started conducting experimental interventions that will help address the issue should the problem extend to our raw water intakes.
In the next few days, the company will proceed further downstream, near the “Lumang Palengke” in West Bajac-bajac, where oily and greasy substances are said to collect. SUBICWATER will dispense its oil adsorbent compounds, which are normally used for environmental cleanups. These compounds make it easier for personnel to skim oil and other greasy substances from the water’s surface.
