However, gauging gauging from the long queue of customers almost everyday at the collection lobby of Subicwater's Main office, it could be gauge that customers still prefer to pay directly rather than through banks.

When asked why they still prefer to walk a distance and experience long queing in paying their water bills, they have these common complaints and reason: the accredited banks do not accept payments for overdue accounts or arrears; more often, the banks prioritize the accommodation of its bank clients; the banks do not readily have Official Receipts to issue to paying customers; or, the banks have shortened time schedule for acceptance of water bill payments.

These concerns were discussed with Subicwater's servicing banks. The bank managers gave assurance that the customers' concerns will be addressed, particularly, the acceptance of payment for current and overdue arrears.

Given this assurance, the customers are once again enjoined to make their water bill payments through banks to avoid the hassle of long queuing at the collection lobby. They are also encouraged to report to Subicwater any untoward experience that they may encounter when making payment to any of the accredited banks so that these can be immeduitely addressed.

Subicwater had tied-up with a number of banks for the acceptance of water bill payments from customers to reduce the long queing of paying customers at the company's collection windows. So far, for almost four years now, May Bank, Zambales Bank, Development Bank of the Philippines, and the Bank of the Philippine Islands had been accepting water bill payments. Just recently, United COconut Planters Bank was added to the list, and is open from Monday to Saturday to accept over-the-counter payments from customers.
