Mayor Rolen Paulino, Jr. Visits SUBICWATER Facilities

Last October 1, 2019, Mayor Rolen Paulino, Jr. graced the main office of SUBICWATER to observe and learn about the day-to-day operations of the company, as well as to meet the people managing the water and wastewater utilities of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and Olongapo City.

The visit began with a lunch at the SUBICWATER Conference Room and a presentation by CEO Benjamin E. Antonio, III, who highlighted the accomplishments and upcoming developments of SUBICWATER to further improve the services being provided to the customers. The short discussion was followed by a tour at the SUBICWATER Main Office in which Mayor Paulino was introduced to each division of the company.

After touring the main office, Antonio personally accompanied the honorable Mayor around the Central Business District Sewage Treatment Plant— the biggest among the seven sewage treatment plants being operated by SUBICWATER. Also part of the tour was a briefing on the wastewater treatment process for the sewage coming from the CBD-STP.

The last stop of the mayor’s visit of SUBICWATER facilities was at the Mabayuan Water Treatment Plant (MWTP), which supplies drinking water to six barangays of Olongapo City. The tour included a step-by-step walkthrough of the water treatment process of SUBICWATER- from the initial treatment to the final steps before the water is distributed to the lines of Olongapo City.
