SUBICWATER leads feeding program at OCABIS

Around 75 pupils from the Old Cabalan Integrated School (OCABIS) received a nutritious breakfast prepared by personnel of Subic Water and Sewerage Co., Inc. (SUBICWATER), who was tasked to lead the January 15 installment of the 90-day supplemental feeding program.

The three-month program aims to restore to normal the nutritional status of undernourished pupils, and in effect, help improve class attendance and performance. The beneficiaries have undergone deworming in preparation for this through the initiative of the Department of Health (DOH).

The feeding program was spearheaded by the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) – Subic Bay Freeport Chapter (to which SUBICWATER is a member) and the Rotary Club of Downtown Olongapo. Affiliated companies and individuals pool resources and take turns in leading the weekly outreach activities.
